We, the People…
Too many politicians seem to have forgotten that the Constitution is the supreme law of the land, a contract providing the government with the consent of the governed.
If we’re going to reform government and clean up Washington, we need to remember that it all starts with “we, the people…” It’s time to put an end to the Washington-centric approach to politics. We need more citizens to stand up and be heard, not politicians who proclaim that they know better than us.
Clean Up Our Own House First
When Republicans took power in Washington, they immersed themselves in the swamp of insider politics. Our principles became diluted, and a whole generation of Republican politicians now think that when they get to Washington they’ll be able to solve all of our problems. Republicans used to believe that Washington causes more problems than it solves, no matter which party is in power. It’s time to get back to our roots.
Demand Accountability
As government has grown, it has become less accountable to the people who pay the bills. Faceless bureaucrats hold limitless power over our lives, our families and our businesses, and it is the job of our representatives in government to stand on the side of citizens and hold government accountable.
The People Will be Heard
We can never let anyone’s voice be silenced because of their political views. There’s a certain arrogance that emanates from Washington. Many Washington insiders want us to stay quiet and go along with their plans. We can not be bullied. We will not be bullied.
