A Strong Family... and Friends
Major Diggs Brown Jr. grew up in rural Oklahoma, the son of Major Diggs Brown Sr. His parents stressed the importance of education, hard work and service. So as Diggs was finishing up his college education at Oklahoma State, it was a natural next step for him to volunteer to join the Army.
Along the way, he has built an enormous group of friends, colleagues, comrades-in-arms and well-wishers. He’s been a regular speaker at veterans events, schools, service organizations and churches. Before being deployed in 2008, he was a regular driver for Senior Alternatives IN Transportation (SAINT) and served on the board of directors for the Salvation Army of Fort Collins.
